Welcome Liturgy
A meaningful beginning to the school year, the Welcome Liturgy gathers the entire Mercy community in prayer, setting the tone for a year rooted in faith, unity, and purpose.
Mercy-a-Thon Celebration Day
A day of giving, gratitude, and fun, Mercy-a-Thon brings the community together to celebrate generosity and school spirit at a surprise location each fall.
Mercy Week
A cherished tradition that honors the founding of the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Week is a time for reflection, celebration, and living out the values of Mercy.
Mercy Day
Mercy Day is the culmination of Mercy Week. Beginning with an all school photo, liturgy, and mission-focused learning and ending with an all school lunch and rally, Mercy celebrates all the beauty within our mission and sisterhood.
Halloween Dance
The Kohl Mansion gets decorated in Halloween theme for a night of fun and costumes!
Grandparents Day
A special day that welcomes grandparents and loved ones to campus!
Hall Decorating
A spirited tradition where students come together to transform campus spaces with class unity, pride, and friendly competition.
Mercy's "Hero Dance"
Mercy High School's "Hero Dance" is a traditional event for current students to celebrate their fathers and the father figures in their lives.
The Mercy Tea
A longtime Mercy High School tradition that welcomes students, their mothers, and grandmothers for a day of community in our Kohl Mansion. It honors the comfort our Foundress Catherine McAuley often spoke to in sharing a cup of tea with loved ones.
Liturgies
Our community gathers for liturgies and prayer services each month in the beautiful Mercy Chapel. It is a time of reflection around relevant topics, prayer, and connection. Our Campus Ministry team creates programs that inspire joy, peace, and love, ultimately inviting all of the Mercy community to be part of something greater.
Winter Formal
All students are invited to experience the beauty of their school and Kohl Mansion at the Winter Formal.
Class Council Leadership Opportunity
Elected each year, students have a chance to take on greater leadership roles and contribute to shaping their class community. They learn to lead with purpose, plan events, and make a meaningful impact on their class.
Freshman
Summer Transitions Program
A three-day summer program designed to support incoming students with their high school transition to Mercy. With intentional programming to build confidence, friendships, and academic readiness, Mercy students feel ready for their transition before the school year begins.
Freshman Welcome Day
Our Link Crew Leaders welcome Freshmen with joy and excitement on their first official day on campus in August. This day is about fun, friendship, and the beginning of their identity as a class.
Freshman Prayer Service
Students and families are invited for a welcome prayer service that is rooted in Mercy tradition and community as they begin their journey. Following the prayer service students and parents each take part in intentional programming that further welcomes them into the Mercy community.
Frosh Splash (Tri-School Event at Serra)
A fun and energetic social event at Serra High School’s pool that builds community and introduces freshmen to their broader Tri-School community.
Frosh Dance (Tri-School Event at NDB)
The first high school dance that occurs at the end of the first week of high school! Tri-School freshmen come together and are led by the student councils of each of the three schools.
Winter Formal
A continued tradition of celebration and connection, allowing sophomores to deepen friendships and school spirit while dressing up for an evening in the Kohl Mansion!
Freshman Year Retreat
A meaningful day of reflection and connection that helps students grow in self-awareness, faith, and relationships.
Freshman Sleepover
A treasured tradition that creates a memorable night on campus filled with laughter and activities that deepen friendships and class spirit.

Sophomore
Sophomore Movie Night
A cozy, community-centered evening where students gather to relax and enjoy a film in the iconic Kohl Mansion setting.

Class Unity Day

St. Anthony’s Sophomore Year Retreat
An off-campus retreat centered on service and community engagement, where students give back while deepening their connection with one another.
Junior
Junior Ring Ceremony
A treasured tradition that marks their transition into upperclasswomen, the Junior Ring Ceremony is a celebration of sisterhood and connection.
Fall Coastal Plunge
Junior year students are invited to take part in a service learning coastal plunge experience.
Link Crew
Juniors have the opportunity to apply to be a Link Crew Leader, a leadership role where juniors mentor and guide incoming freshmen.
Overnight Kairos Retreat
A transformative overnight retreat grounded in reflection, faith, and authentic connection, Kairos invites students into a deeply meaningful and life-changing experience.
Prom
A long-anticipated tradition, prom is an elegant and memorable night where juniors and seniors come together to celebrate and create lasting memories.

Senior

A symbolic early-morning gathering that marks the beginning of the final year together.
Senior Parking Spot Painting
A beloved tradition where seniors and their families come together to personalize their senior parking spaces.
Senior Overnight Retreat
A final retreat experience focused on gratitude, reflection, and preparation for life beyond Mercy.
Senior Privileges
Seniors enjoy the special privileges that recognize their responsibility and provide space for independence and balance. Access to the senior lounge and early dismissal days, the seniors love these special privileges!
Mercy Pathways Capstone Presentations
A culminating academic experience where seniors showcase their learning, passions, and growth within their pathway of study.
Class Unity Day
A final opportunity to celebrate sisterhood and the bonds formed over four years, the senior class council leads a day of games and fun.
Plaid Plunge
A spirited tradition that celebrates senior pride on the final day seniors wear their Mercy uniform. The senior class jumps into the Mercy pool with lots of laughter, hugs, and celebrations.
Mother/Daughter Mass & Brunch
A heartfelt tradition honoring the relationship between seniors and their mothers or guardians through prayer and celebration.
Senior Pinning
A symbolic ceremony marking students’ transition into the alumnae association and their lifelong connection to Mercy.
Senior Awards Night
An evening recognizing the achievements, leadership, and contributions of the graduating class.
Baccalaureate Mass
A sacred celebration of gratitude and blessing as seniors prepare to graduate.
Graduation
The culminating ceremony that honors students’ accomplishments and formally welcomes them as Mercy alumnae.
