Priorities of Giving
Since 1931, Mercy has flourished thanks to the wisdom, guidance, and generous contributions of parents, faculty and staff, alumnae, and friends. We express our sincere gratitude for your steadfast commitment to our cherished school through various means, which we refer to as the Priorities of Giving.
A. The Mercy Annual Fund July 1 – June 30
Each year, we kindly request every member of our community to prioritize philanthropy by embracing The Mercy Annual Fund and making a personally meaningful donation. The Mercy Annual Fund holds the utmost importance as the school's philanthropic priority, and we sincerely appreciate your support in achieving full participation.
The Mercy Annual Fund plays a vital role as tuition and endowed funds alone cannot provide the distinct opportunities required to serve our students. Contributions to the fund are utilized during the current school year to enhance academic innovation, arts and athletic programs, faculty excellence, and community development. Through the generous commitment of our community to The Mercy Annual Fund, our students gain access to transformative opportunities.
B. Benefits and Special Events
Throughout the year, you can both celebrate and support Mercy through various benefits and events, including:
-
Making A Difference Scholarship Benefit (April/Mary) supporting financial aid.
-
Annual parent and community events:
-
Monte Carlo Night (November)
-
Lobster Feed (February)
-
-
Annual alumnae sponsored event for the community:
-

-
C. Capital, Major, and Planned Gifts
We hold deep appreciation for the ongoing support of our community in advancing our mission and vision across generations. By contributing to Mercy through capital campaigns, endowment, and major and planned gifts, you enable the us to undertake new construction, renovate facilities, innovate curricula, expand tuition assistance, and pursue other essential priorities. Your generosity ensures the continued growth of our students and programs well into the future.
Mercy is in the quiet phase of the Building the Dream campaign to build an Athletic and Student Life Center inclusive of a gym, pool expansion and student life space on campus. Learn more about the Campaign here.
