Mercy's mission calls us to educate young women of all socioeconomic backgrounds. Every year the Mercy community comes together for the Making A DIfference Scholarship Benefit, an inspiring evening which raises funds for our tuition assistance program.
Since it began 15 years ago, Making A Difference has raised more than $2.4 million - supporting 1686 girls. Last year, over 350 people attended the event and funds raised supported nearly 25% of the annual tuition assistance budget.
Now more than ever, the need for financial aid resources is critical. This year alone, we will distribute $1.4 million in need-based financial aid to 35% of our student body. For these qualified students, a Mercy education would not be possible without the financial support they receive. Continuing to expand our financial aid program, through Making A Difference, is an important priority because it strengthens the high school experience of every Mercy girl.

With the growing cost of Catholic education, more students than ever now need financial assistance to attend Mercy, and in recent years, low- and middle-income families have been particularly hard-hit by increased costs.
The Making A Difference dinner is underwritten by the Board of Directors; 100% of all sponsorships and donations directly assist girls in need of financial aid.
