The Advancement program at Mercy furthers the mission of the school through fundraising and engagement of all of our constituents.
As with all private Catholic schools, Mercy is dependent on two primary sources of revenue to operate the school: tuition and fundraising. Tuition covers the basics of our Mercy education. The generosity of our parents, alumnae, grandparents and friends enhance our excellent academic programs, update our facilities and allow us to continue to attract outstanding faculty and staff. This year, 13% of the annual costs must be raised from philanthropy. Your support is deeply appreciated.

Love of Learning
Our small class sizes give girls direct and focused attention, cultivating a drive for knowledge and academic excellence. Mercy’s talented faculty and staff are continuously innovating and growing through professional development, motivated to instill a lifelong love of learning among our students.
The Mercy Mission is at the heart of all that we do. Our Campus Ministry and Religion Department sponsor activities that offer spiritual growth, character development, and community learning. Programs such as Service Learning, immersion trips, and guest speakers encourage understanding and partnerships with underserved communities.
Wellness & Self-Discovery
Mercy nurtures a strong community where young women are known and encouraged as individuals, and challenged to understand and pursue their purpose. We support the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of our students, encouraging the balance, outlook and action that help our young women to become confident and compassionate leaders.
Innovation and Technology
Mercy’s curriculum and technology are constantly developing to prepare students to meet the needs of today’s world. With a focus on critical thinking and problem solving, our students develop skills that ensure career success, particularly in STEM fields. Classroom technology upgrades maximize our innovative educational resources, which enabled us to pivot seamlessly to Distance Learning. COVID-19 underscores the importance of the digital fluency and adaptability.
Athletics, Visual & Performing Arts,
Leadership, & Clubs
The majority of Mercy students participate in one or more extracurricular activities from athletics to supporting Admissions. These activities are available to our students at no additional cost. Many of our competitor schools charge a participation fee for athletics.
- Mercy depends on philanthropic contributions to fund a portion of the operating budget.
Mercy does not receive financial support from the Archdiocese nor federal or state funding. Like other independent schools, our ability to deliver the high-quality college-preparatory programs that we are known for depends upon your charitable support.
- Great Teachers Change Lives
80% of the annual operating budget supports teacher salaries and benefits; the Mercy Annual Fund supports these costs.
- Every gift matters.
Annually most gifts to Mercy are under $500; together they make a difference. Every gift benefits each student, teacher and staff member and all of the programs at Mercy
