Prayer & Liturgy

As a Catholic community devoted to the education of the whole person we believe it is essential to take time to participate in prayer experiences which celebrate, praise, give thanks and acknowledge our human frailties. We value this time together and see it as an integral part of a Mercy education. *Please note that during COVID-19 all prayer and liturgy experiences will be virtual.

All School Liturgies

We gather together as a Catholic community once a month to celebrate Eucharistic liturgies and prayer services. At these ritual gatherings we celebrate the Catholic liturgical seasons, and Mercy feast days.

Reconciliation

We gather as a school community for the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the Season of Lent. There is a reconciliation prayer service followed by the opportunity for individual confession. Priests from the nearby parishes come to offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation to members of the Mercy community.

Chapel Time

Once a month our Religious Studies classes spend time in the chapel for silent prayer. Students are offered this opportunity for quiet reflection and to nourish their relationship with God.

Pastoral Counseling

Members of the Campus Ministry team: Angie Simonetti, Sandy Flaherty and Peter Diaz are available for Pastoral Counseling for any member of the Mercy community.
