Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the extra time at home with your daughters. Thanks to the break we were able to surprise the students with newly painted hallways. Updates like these are only possible through the generous support of our parents and donors so please accept a big thank you from us!
We were incredibly proud of how well our students performed academically last semester- it was one of the best academic semesters our students have had in recent years, and we are very happy for them.
Catherine McAuley always reminded her friends that we "must take one day at a time." As we begin our final five months of school I invite you to use these words as a simple reminder for your daughters to take each day as it comes and to focus their energy, time, and strengths on their everyday. May your daughters have a blessed, successful, and happy semester. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out should you need anything.
Thanks, ALL SCHOOL NEWS Save the Date! Lovingly restored by Israeli violin-makers Amnon and Avshalom Weinstein, the Violins are now touring worldwide. This first West Coast appearance of the Violins of Hope commemorates the 75th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz.

As a way to honor those special relationships, Mercy will hold a Grandparents/Special Elders Day on January 31, 2020 from 12:45pm-2:30pm. Our special guests will have the opportunity to tour the school and meet your daughter's teachers and friends. In the coming week Ms. Simonetti will send out a Google Form so students can sign up to bring a guest. Please encourage your daughter to invite a special guest and sign up on the Grandparents/Special Elders Day document. Please keep in mind our campus has special challenges, so if a guest has special needs please let us know by contacting Angie Simonetti at 650 762-1149 or asimonetti@mercyhsb.com.

Financial Assistance Program for 2020-2021 We recognize that families have varying financial needs and make financial sacrifices to provide their daughters with a strong academic education. Awards are made for a one-year period, families must re-apply each year. The application process is fair and confidential, assessed by an outside firm (TADS) that specializes in school financial assistance programs. Financial aid awards are made based on a family's demonstrated need and the availability of school funds.
All families who would like to be considered for financial assistance for the 2020-21 school year must complete an online financial aid application and submit all necessary documentation. The deadline for applying is no later than January 15, 2020. Visit the website HERE for more information and the online TADS application. Late applications are processed and reviewed, but meeting the appropriate deadline is strongly recommended to be included in the first round of aid awards. Please contact Lynn Beal at 650-762-1101 or lbeal@mercyhsb.com if you have any questions.
