FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL

Image

Dear Mercy Families,

Today our Junior Class had their Junior Ring Ceremony and our Freshmen Class had their Class Officer Elections. Together both events serve as a reminder of how quickly the high school years fly by. As our freshmen begin a new journey of possibilities, our juniors are beginning their journeys of exploring colleges and planning for their next exciting chapters in life. Whether your daughter has one year left at home or four more years, I hope you are cherishing every moment you have with them. It always amazes me how quickly time passes for our students and then they are suddenly expected to be grown ups living on their own. Know it is our privilege to partner with you during these four years before they embark on their young adult lives. If there is anything you feel we can better support you in please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thanks,
Natalie

ALL SCHOOL NEWS

Dear Mercy Families,

I regret to inform that your child may have been exposed to lice as there are students in our community who have reported cases of head lice this week.

In order to ensure that our students are free of lice, please examine your daughter's hair and scalp for evidence of live lice, lice eggs, or nits (egg casings left behind after lice have hatched). If lice or eggs are present, they will be found close to the scalp. If you find head lice please notify the school or others with whom your child may have had direct head to head contact. Students with head lice should be treated as soon as possible to minimize the spread to other individuals.

Students with lice may not return to school until they have been properly treated and the lice no longer exists.

Please click HERE for more information on lice.

Thank you for your partnership in ensuring we get back to a lice-free environment as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Claire Rietmann-Grout

Asst. Head of School for Student Life
