It's Mercy Week! A cherished, time-honored tradition, Mercy Week celebrates our Sister of Mercy heritage and Foundress Catherine McAuley, who opened the first House of Mercy in Ireland in 1827. Every year our faculty and students plan events, activities, and a Mass to reflect on the Sisters' charism that drives our community, including the Sisters of Mercy's Critical Concerns. This year, we are focusing on the topic of Women, and exploring specifically what it means to be a confident woman in today's world. On Friday, students will attend workshops on topics ranging from budgeting and finance, to networking, and cooking skills.
I am sure your daughters are excited about their fun spirit wear and looking forward to our Mercy Day Rally, but let us not forget the main purpose for Mercy Week- that it is the sacred time we come together with intention as a community to reflect on the women who came before us, and how to actively take steps toward the women we are proud to become.
Thank you for choosing Mercy High School for your daughters and for allowing us to be a part of their lives. It is a true privilege working with your daughters, and we are so thankful to celebrate this year's Mercy Week with them!
Sincerely, ALL SCHOOL NEWS ![]() Magnus Health - Urgent - Action Required!

Freshmen Athletes and Parents:
The Mercy Varsity Soccer team will be playing Notre Dame Belmont on Tuesday December 10 at Avaya Stadium, home of the San Jose Earthquakes. The girls in the program are very excited to say the least for the opportunity to play in a professional team's venue. In order to play this game, Mercy had to commit to purchasing 50 tickets to the San Jose Earthquakes game on Sunday September 29. They play the Seattle Sounders with a 4:30pm start. The Earthquakes are right in the middle of play-off contention and this is a huge game for them. If you are interested in going and want to help the Soccer girls achieve their goal of playing at Avaya, please click HERE to purchase tickets. Our ticket sales are going slow, so please make your purchase today. Thanks in advance! Thanks in advance! Please see the note we received from the Earthquakes concerning seat availability in each section. "There are a few different sections to pick from. Do not be deterred by the limited seat availability, there are more than that many seats in those sections!"
