Last week, a group of Mercy and Serra students visited Sacramento for an Immersion Trip. They toured the California Raptor Center at UC Davis and discovered how important raptors and birds of prey are to our environment. At Loaves & Fishes they took part in the mission to help provide services to the poor in a spirit of love, hospitality and generosity to those who need it. The group also visited PreetiRang Sanctuary and Flourish Farm, where they got their hands dirty while learning about animal welfare and urban farming. The Spring Immersion trip is always a whirlwind of service activity, learning, and reflection. All SCHOOL NEWS Spring Open House is this Monday April 29 from 4 - 6pm. We welcome families with 5th, 6th and 7th graders to join us! Sign up here. Feel free to share this information with any families you know who have middle school age girls.

![]() Freshmen Parents Coffee with the Counselors Please join us for Coffee with the Counselors, a new information series hosted by Mercy's Guidance Department for freshmen parents. On Friday, May 3rd at 8:00am, we will have a facilitated reflection on your student's first year at Mercy. We will also take a look at what to expect in the upcoming sophomore year- with coffee and tea, followed by a Q&A session where you will have an opportunity to ask questions of our team.
Junior/Senior PROM - May 10th Prom Tickets are on sale in the SBO Office this week! The cost is $105 per ticket. Permission forms are available in the Main Office (links below) and must be turned in at the time of purchase. All Juniors and Seniors are invited to Prom on the Cabernet Sauvingnon Commodore yacht. The boat will depart at the Ferry Building at 7:15 sharp, so don't be late! The boat will return to the dock at 11:00pm for student pick up. The last day to buy a ticket is May 8th.
Senior Parents Attention Senior Parents, all seniors have early dismissal tomorrow (Thurs. April 25). Seniors must check into Advisory at 1:10pm for attendance and then are dismissed. Senior Transition Night College Counselor, Francesca Ohanessian, and Wellness Counselor, Joy Phillips, invite you to an evening of reflection and conversation about the end of your high school experience and your transition to college. We will discuss common challenges students and families face during this time and provide helpful strategies for a successful and healthy transition from Mercy. IMPORTANT REMINDERS Spring Uniform Update Wishing you all a happy spring! As weather starts to get sunny and warm, it's time to do away with students wearing non-mercy outerwear. When we return from Spring Break, students are asked to dress only in Mercy sweatshirts and Mercy fleece over their uniform polo. If it is raining, students can wear rain boots and a water proof jackets in Mercy approved colors. Any student dressed out of uniform will receive an infraction.
