WEEKLY FEATURE ![]() Today the Mercy community celebrated Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten Season. Lent is a period of 40 days in which Christians prepare through reflection and fasting for the Passion; the death and resurrection of Jesus. During our prayer service, the students and faculty received Ashes on their foreheads, which is a sign of penance and our mortality. During Lent students and faculty will have the opportunity to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation, reflect during chapel visits, and learn more about the Mass during our Lenten Series: Altaration - The Mystery of the Mass Revealed. - Sandy Flaherty, Director of Catholic Identity ALL SCHOOL NEWS
