WEEKLY FEATURE ![]() Every year, Sarah Murphy, Mercy's Library Resources Coordinator, works with our students in sessions designed to help improve their research skills. This week, she introduced the Freshmen class to the library's resources, completing a terrific exercise on good research techniques (a sample from their list is above). She is also going over source analysis with sophomores, and Media Literacy with seniors. Mrs. Murphy offers guidance and training on our many database research platforms including Gale and EBSCO, and is even available for one-on-one assistance to students as required. Her end goal is for students to come out of Mercy with the skills they need to do college-level research. To help your daughters, Mrs. Murphy recommends that you ask them about their current and upcoming research projects, and encourage them to allow enough time for a thorough, rewarding investigation. You can check out the Mercy Library section of the website to explore her inspiring resources!
