*Information on Funeral Services for Carol Galletta

Funeral services for Carol Galletta will be held on Wednesday, November  8, 2017, at the Mercy Chapel, 2300 Adeline Drive, Burlingame. The funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m..Immediately after the service there will be a reception at Kohl Mansion.

Mercy High School will close on Wednesday, November 8th so faculty and staff and any students who knew Carol will be able to attend the service.

Parking will be available in the school parking lots, the Forest lot by the Mercy Convent and in the Lake lot next to Marian Oaks.

The Mercy Chapel is small, holding only 400-425 people. Carol has a large family and an even larger number of close friends. Adding the Mercy faculty and staff and some of our students we expect the Chapel to be very crowded.

Mercy High School will be holding a celebration of Carol's life on Tuesday, November 21st at noon at Our Lady of Angels Church on Hillside Drive, followed by a reception at Kohl Mansion. This mass will be attended by all the Mercy students, faculty and staff. We invite all families, alumnae and others who knew and loved Carol to join us in remembering someone who was a special presence in all our lives.

*Memorial Booklet for Carol Galletta

We are planning to do a special memorial booklet for Carol to be distributed at the mass on November 21st  and then as an e-book. If you would like to contribute to this book please email your tribute to khanrahan@mercyhsb.com  The tribute can be two or three lines, a paragraph or two or a small drawing. Deadline for submission is November 15th.

COLLEGE COUNSELING

*November 1st Deadlines: Do you have a November 1st deadline?  Be sure to check in with your recommenders as they might not know that.  You will want to make sure your Naviance reflects the earlier deadline.

*Matching your Common App and Naviance: In order for your recommenders to send your letters of recommendation, you need to match your common app with your Naviance.  Here is a video on that process.

*Naviance: Be sure to keep your Naviance updated with your list of colleges.  If you need to have a college removed and Naviance won't let you, please email me the name of the college.

*Applications: Over the next two months, many of your applications will be due so keep working on them and come by and see me when you have questions.

*Personal Statement: Get help with your personal statements from your English teachers or any of your counselors.  The best way to share it with me is to send it in a google doc and I will go ahead and make comments on the side.
