The Class of 2018 is asked to dress classy for the occasion. Students may not wear spaghetti straps, strapless, low cut or tops that reveal the midsection. Skirts must be no shorter than 5 inches above the back of the knee. Students may wear sandals if it is not a lab day, but may not wear heels or boots with a heel. No ripped or torn pants, jeans or shorts may be worn. Seniors should be working on their college applications and personal statements.
College Visits: The colleges will continue next week. Check your naviance and college visit calendar for any upcoming schools. Be sure to give your teachers 24 hours notice that you will be missing class. All meetings will be in Room 306.

SAT/ACT Testing: Make sure you are registered for a test this fall. The last accepted test date is December so be sure to register before then. With the graduation of the starting goalie and the team having an area of need, Nikka took upon herself to start taking lessons to learn the position. In the past few weeks, Nikka has evolved as a leader in the pool by taking control of letting her teammates know where to set up. Last week, Nikka was solid in defending the goal and helped Mercy secure their first league win over Cap. Other game highlights include 25 blocks vs. Terra Nova and 15 blocks vs. Hillsdale. It is Mandatory that each family be fully registered in the Magnus system. You can only activate your daughters profile by going thru the Parents PowerSchool account. Click HERE for more information. If an athlete is not fully registered as showing a sports clearance physical form, all emergency contact information and consent to treat, they will not be allowed to practice or play until all information required is submitted. Signed athletic contracts must be checked off as well. There will be no exceptions! If your daughter is planning on playing basketball or soccer, please start the Magnus registration process now to get clearance. Get your sports physical done now. Do not wait till the last moment to make an appointment. No athlete will be allowed to start the tryouts on Oct 30 if they are not cleared to participate. This is a fun way to get to know other Mercy parents and students, listen to world-class chamber musicians, all while helping out Music at Kohl (non-profit chamber music concert presenter and local music education provider). Students receive service credit for hours served.
