*Mercy Athlete of the Week
Water Polo Player Nikka Sekelj

A sophomore, Nikka has taken over the goalie position on the team. With the graduation of the starting goalie and the team having an area of need, Nikka took upon herself to start taking lessons to learn the position. In the past few weeks, Nikka has evolved as a leader in the pool by taking control of letting her teammates know where to set up. Last week, Nikka was solid in defending the goal and helped Mercy secure their first league win over Cap. Other game highlights include 25 blocks vs. Terra Nova and 15 blocks vs. Hillsdale. Congratulations. Keep working hard Nikka!
