Fresh off the Tribeca Film Festival debut the CODE documentary takes a closer look at tech hubs around the world and why the total number of female and minority software engineers have dropped. This is an amazing experience and opportunity for your daughters. The spaces do fill up quickly so if you wish your daughter to attend one of them, please encourage her to sign up. The cost of the retreat is $200.00. To reserve a spot on the October Kairos we ask that you pay the entire $200. To reserve space for the January Kairos you send in a a $50.00 deposit to hold a place. Attention Senior Parents, With graduation just around the corner, it is time to start planning for this major event. Today, during advisory, your senior received a white envelope with information inside about ordering the required cap and gown as well as graduation announcements and accessories. Please review the contents of this envelope with your senior then sign and return the form to school next week. Bill Reid from Jostens will be on campus to accept orders on September 22 and 23rd during lunch in the cafeteria. All the products will be on display as well. Graduation orders may also be placed online at www.jostens.com . Every senior must order her cap and gown. No exceptions! There is no payment due if only ordering the required cap and gown. The deadline for orders is October 23.

Athletics  *SAVE THE DATE! Athletics Booster Club Meeting Wednesday,Sept. 30th - 6:00pm September 30 will be the Athletics Booster Club meeting at 6pm in Room 109. WE ask anyone interested in helping launch the Booster Club to come to this initial meeting. WE need your help/guidance! Very Important: Every student who plans to play on a Mercy athletic team must be fully registered with the Appryse system. As of now, if your daughter has not been fully cleared, she is not allowed to participate in her sport. You can access thru the Mercy website under Athletics/Forms. Any Parent who is available and/or willing to drive students to games must turn in all the paperwork to the main office in order to be cleared to drive. This would be for your own car or a school van. The forms can be downloaded from the Mercy website, Athletics/Forms or click HERE. All athletes should be purchasing their individual team Sportpacks thru the Mercy website Crusaderwear. Each sport has mandatory practice shirts and ¼ zip pullovers they must purchase. Volleyball and Golf have an additional item to buy as well. Zoe has been nominated for this week’s award as result of her strong performance in 3 races in 7 days. Zoe ran in the top 15 in the last two invitational’s (100+runners in each). In addition, she finished 2nd in the Mercy San Francisco Dual meet race. - September 16th-Mercy Burlingame held on to bragging rights in the annual race against sister school Mercy SF, winning 18-38. Meghan Moyer and Zoe Jinishian led the way for the Crusaders, finishing 1st and 2nd. Meghan won in a time of 19:12 over the 2.8 mile course. Muriel Butler, Kylie Wong, and Melissa Cagney finished 4-5-6 to finish scoring for Mercy Burlingame.
- September 19th-The Mercy Burlingame cross country team traveled down to Salinas California. The Frosh/Soph Girls team kicked the day off with a strong performance. Zoe Jinishian led the way with a 13th place finish in 22:20 followed by Muriel Butler in 41st place in 24:21. Jessica Barri and Lauren Rocheleau ran together in the Junior varsity race, running the course in 27:53 and 27:57 in 56th and 57th place. There were 118 runners in the race.
- Varsity runners Meghan Moyer and Gabby Stanton-Fischer competed under sweltering conditions. Meghan finished in 27th place in 21:24, while Gabby Stanton-Fischer came through in 25:18. There were 119 runners in the race.
- September 22- The Mercy Burlingame cross country team finished in first place with 28 points, followed by Westmoor and Notre Dame Belmont with 47 and 52 points. Meghan Moyer led the way winning the race, followed by Zoe Jinishian in 3rd. Gabby Stanton Fischer, Muriel butler, and Kylie Wong finished the scoring for the Crusaders in 7th, 8th, and 9th place respectively.

Please encourage your students to complete this form as we use it to write their letters of recommendation.
Letters of Recommendation: Students should begin asking their teachers for letters of recommendation. They need to provide their teacher with their Document Request Form (found in the counseling office). One copy will go to the teacher, one for themselves, and one for the college counselor, Mrs. Ohanessian. Senior College Applications: Applications are now available for Common App and the University of California The Common App is available now at www.commonapp.org.
