Welcome back to School Mercy!

Yearbook Editor's meeting during the first half of collab in the library.

Attention Advisors! AP chemistry is meeting in the chem lab during collaboration. Students will not be checking into advisory, so please advisors, don't mark them absent. They will be checking out. A list of students will be shared via email.

Fall Sports: Tryouts for Freshman begin today.

This Friday is Freshman social, so freshman stop by the SBO office to get your tickets. Tickets are ten dollars each. Hope to see you there!

If you would like to earn supplemental hours...sign up for the Walk for Catholic Worker. It is on Saturday, September 12th. It requires a $40.00 donation that benefits the Catholic Worker House in San Bruno. It is a tri-school event. It begins at 9:00 at Mercy and ends at St. Bruno's. Sign up on The campus Ministry Door!

Once again we are asking for the artists among you to design the front and back of your senior tee. There will be a prize for the winner. Please submit on 8 ½ x 11 in black ink DUE by Friday, August 28; see Mrs. Rowan if you have any questions or need to chat about ideas. Ms. Kury is also a good one with whom to chat! Submit design to Ms. Kury. Make sure your name and advisory are on the backside of the design.

If you plan to audition for the fall play at Serra tomorrow, make sure you have completed your audition form (see www.trischoolproductions.com) and secured a time! Congratulations all you brave girls who are going to "go for it!" See Ms. Matthews if you have questions.

The Film Club gets an early start this year and will be showing Alfred Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt", filmed in nearby Santa Rosa, in Room 111 during late lunch on Thursday and a repeat of the same segment during late lunch on Friday. All are welcome until seats are full.

RISE UP meet in the Reception Room immediately after announcements. Bring your calendars we will be setting dates. Don't stop the music Mercy!

Juniors and seniors interested in the science national honor society, an email was sent out asking for applications over the weekend. Please complete and turn in through schoology by this Friday. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Dr. Bradley in room 104R or by email.

There will be an informational meeting in two weeks (time and date will be announced) for students interested in going to Yellowstone over spring break doing some really cool scientific data gathering work with Wolf tracking and other wildlife in that habitat. If you are interested in going on this once in a lifetime opportunity, open to all grade levels and in conjunction with Serra high school, please confirm with Dr. Bradley by email.
