This year marks Mercy High School's 29th annual student-led fundraiser!
The Mercy-A-Thon is our student led fundraiser. All students have their own fundraising page and are asked to add at least 20 names to their profile. This platform gives students the ability to seek the support of family and friends anywhere in the world. The goal of the student fundraiser is two-fold; this fundraiser gives students valuable life skills that they can use throughout their career and personal life and it builds community among our school and helps support special projects. All students are expected to participate.
Our goal is to collectively raise $100,000 which supports every student and program at Mercy including Academics, Student Life, Athletics, and Campus Ministry. The success of the Mercy-A-Thon is a community effort. Thank you for supporting Mercy High School and empowering the young women who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
The Mercy-A-Thon is a 6-week (August 21 - September 30) fundraising campaign, held primarily online, with a student celebration day on September 20th at Pinstripes in San Mateo.
So how does it work? All students must register for the Mercy-A-Thon on the eTeamSponsor website between August 21 - 25, 2023 using their Mercy email. Once a student has registered, she has her own personal fundraising page. She can then begin to enter the emails of family, friends, even their orthodontist - anyone whom she would like to invite to support her to help reach her goal for the Mercy-A-Thon! All students are expected to participate in this student fundraiser.
We encourage students to enter up to 20 emails and, once entered, our program will send invitations to those whom they have entered to support the Mercy-A-Thon. She can also share this page via social media allowing family and friends to click on her fundraising page and directly make a donation to support her fundraising goal. Parents are encouraged to share her fundraising page to their social media as well. This is a great opportunity for our students to become involved in philanthropy.

Head of School Challenge Prize:
In the spirit of Students Supporting Students, if we reach our $100,000 goal by September 30th, all students will have a Day Off (Winter Formal Day for freshman and sophomores and Prom Day for juniors and seniors) whether or not they attend the dance.
True to the school's mission and culture, our student community is made up of young women of diverse religious, ethnic, social and economic backgrounds. This is an opportunity for students to learn entrepreneurship and develop a culture of philanthropy.
In order to reach the $100,000 goal for the 2022 Mercy-A-Thon, the per student participation goal is $300 which she will see on her eTeamSponsor page. Some students will raise more than this and some students will raise less. Together, every dollar raised by all students benefits every girl - Students Supporting Students. Girls who bring in $225 or more in sponsorships by September 30, 2022 will earn a “Day Off” (Prom Day for Juniors/Seniors or Winter Formal Day or Freshman/Sophomores); students will have this day off whether or not they attend the dance. All students are asked to try to raise a minimum of $125 in sponsorships prior to our Celebration Day on September 23rd.
All students are expected to register with eTeamSponsor by August 25th and to participate in this fundraising effort–with a goal of raising a minimum amount of $125 by the Mercy-A-Thon Celebration Day. All students must register for the Mercy-A-Thon on the eTeam sponsor website between Aug. 21st - Aug. 25th using their Mercy email. Girls then enter as many emails of family, friends, even their orthodontist - anyone who they would like to invite to support them to help them reach their goal for the Mercy-A-Thon! Gifts can be in any amount from $5 to $50 or $5,000! Whatever anyone wants to give! Students will have their own fundraising page and can track their own progress. They can add more emails at any time of anyone who lives anywhere in the world! It’s easy and fun!
We do encourage students to add 20+ emails of family and friends but this number is recommended for the success of crowdfunding and not required.
We ask that your daughter still register with eTeamSponsor by August 25, 2023. If you would prefer that she not participate in the crowdfunding and you would like to be her sponsor, she can add you in as her participant, you will receive the email and then you may make your sponsorship donation. You may also write a check and information is noted under How do I Sponsor a Student.
Once the student has created their fundraising page on eTeamSponsor they can share it via email or social media to their networks. Online sponsorships are highly encouraged. If a donor would like to pay by check, all checks must be written out to eSponsor Now Inc. Checks and cash may be submitted to the Main Office with a completed form, including the donor’s email address, so that they may be acknowledged and thanked. The process for dropping off checks and cash will be announced with all other details.
The student fundraiser supports every student and program at Mercy for the current school year, including Academics, Student Life, Athletics and Campus Ministry.
Historically, the student fundraiser has helped fund various projects including:

Yes, these are two different things. The Mercy-A-Thon is the one student fundraiser of the year. We encourage the girls to take ownership of their own fundraising rather than asking their parents to write a check.
All parents are asked to support The Mercy Annual Fund Parent Giving Program with a gift of any amount. The Parent Annual Fund Campaign begins in September. Our goal for the Annual Fund Parent Giving Program is that we will have 100% parent support. The Mercy Annual Fund is critical to the ongoing success and financial stability of our school and sustains programs not covered by tuition. The Mercy Fund is how alumnae, parents, and friends come together to form one of the largest gifts the school receives each year. The Mercy Fund fosters a culture of philanthropy that will sustain the school for years to come.
The Mercy Parent Club sponsors fun events for parents throughout the year. We encourage you to read the weekly newsletter so you can stay up to date with the various events. We hope to see you at our Mercy Casino event in November and our Lobster Feed in February. Additionally, we hope you can make our Making A Difference Scholarship Dinner which is our annual gala held in late April.
Thank you!
Thank you for your continued support! If you have any questions, please contact Event & Parent Relations ManagerMarie Reynoldswith any questions.
