Students are required to wear a dress under the graduation gown (no pants). Light-colored dresses are preferred, since the graduation gown is white and bright colors show through. You may wear shoes of your choice, but please be aware that heels should be moderate since you will be walking across a marble floor at graduation.
You should wear your graduation gown (ironed), academic regalia (cords, medals, and pins), tassel, light colored dress, sensible shoes, and cap. Graduates may wear flowers, leis, and other decoration after the ceremony only.
Each family receives 10 tickets. Your parent will be able to pick them up from Main Office starting on Thursday, May 9 from 7a.m. to 4 p.m. each day until Friday, May 31. Family members without tickets may be seated at graduation 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. We have limited tickets, but if you have questions about additional tickets please see Ms. Olives.
The Mercy graduation is a formal ritual, one that takes place in a beautiful church. As the setting suggests, this is different from an athletic event or performance. Please do not clap or yell during the ceremony itself, especially during the time when the names are read. We want every family to be able to hear their daughter’s name. Thank you for respecting the formality and importance of the ceremony.
You will be taking your picture receiving your diploma (posed) at the graduation practice.
Lifetouch will be taking professional photos of seniors at graduation that are available for purchase HERE. Images will be loaded 4-5 days after Graduation. If you wish to receive a notification when the images are available, you can sign up in advance using the same link: events.lifetouch.com/
