Welcome to Mercy Athletics!
As a student-athlete coming into Mercy you will notice that the commitment and performance of our coaching staff and student-athletes extends well beyond the playing field. Most importantly, Mercy strives for academic excellence and as such we offer a wide range of support to our student-athletes, facilitating a winning attitude on and off the field. As a Mercy Crusader you will be proud of the high level of integrity and sportsmanship of our student-athletes.
At Mercy, we believe in providing all of our students with the opportunity to play a sport or get involved in other activities. This year Mercy will field twenty-one teams within fourteen sports. We encourage all of the girls to become involved in our program. Over the past few years we have seen an amazing participation rate of 70% of the student body. I commend the commitment and dedication of the students, parents, and coaches in these efforts.
Fall: Cross County*, Water Polo, Volleyball, Golf, Tennis
Winter: Basketball, Soccer
Spring: Track and Field*, Swimming*, Softball, Gymnastics, Lacrosse
Year round teams: Cheerleading, Song Pom and Lyrical (Dance)
The California Interscholastic Federation has eligibility requirements for transfer students. If your daughter is transferring into or out of Mercy and has played or is interested in playing sports, it is essential that she fills out the necessary paperwork. Please see our Admissions Director, Christina McMorrow, or me for the proper forms. Give yourself plenty of time as these forms can take over a month to be processed through the Central Coast Section office.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
