Shadow Days

Please schedule your shadow day at least two school days in advance. Eighth grade girls are encouraged to shadow in the fall. Please check with your school for conflicts before scheduling your shadow day.

• Arrive at 8:45 a.m. Meet us in the Reception Room of the Kohl Mansion, the main school building for Mercy High School. You will be introduced to your Student Ambassador guide to begin your day with a tour of Mercy's campus.

• 9:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. Meet your hostesses for the day, visit four classes, enjoy lunch with Mercy students, and learn about Mercy throughout the day!

• 1:15 p.m. Day complete! Your hostess will bring you back to the Reception Room where your parent/guardian will pick you up. We hope you will share feedback with us so we can continue to grow and learn. 

Based on your academic and extracurricular interests, you will be assigned a Student Ambassador as your personal hostess for the day. Our Student Ambassador is trained to help you get the most of your shadow experience. Eighth grade visitors may request a specific student hostess, and we will do our best to accommodate the request if your interests and their schedule allows.

We want you to be comfortable on our campus so whatever feels most comfortable for you works for us. Whether it is your current school uniform or casual clothes like jeans and tennis shoes, we can't wait to see you! We ask that our guests honor our dress code and refrain from wearing tank tops or midriff-baring clothing.

Yes! We welcome all parents, guardians, and little siblings to stay for a tour that will begin at 9AM. This informative walking tour will take you through our entire campus and will be led by Mercy administrators and program leaders.
