Applying to AMES (Academic Mentoring Educational Support)

To apply to the AMES Program, use the application link listed above. On the application there is a section to indicate your interest in the AMES program on the application. AMES applications are due by November 27, 2026. 

 AMES applicants must include with their application: 

• a currently active IEP, 504 Plan, or other professional evaluation documentation completed within the last three years.

Financial Assistance Applications

Financial Assistance applications are due by January 16, 2027. 

Shadow Days: September to December 2026

Spending a shadow day as an eighth grader is the best way for you to experience Mercy High School! All applicants are required to participate in a Shadow Day in order to be considered for admission.

All transcripts and recommendations are due January 29th.

The Transcript Form should be sent to your daughter's current school office. Please select the form that corresponds with her school's grading system, either Quarter Grading or Trimester Grading. This is a "fillable" PDF form which the school can complete and email back to us. If the school requires written permission to release transcripts, please fill out and submit this Release Form with your Transcript Request.

Recommendation Forms

These forms can be submitted electronically or in hard-copy, however electronic submissions are preferred. These forms can be found in our online application.

Mathematics Placement Form (required) – To be completed by current math teacher.

Confidential Recommendation Form (required) – To be completed by a current teacher, school administrator, or counselor.

Confidential Clergy Recommendation Form (optional) – To be completed from a clergy member in your parish.

All applicants are invited to Mercy for a Family Interview as part of our Admissions process. Interviews will be held on January 26, 27, 28, and 30, 2027. Once you complete your application, you will have the opportunity to select your preferred date and time for your interview within our portal.

Admission decisions will be emailed to all applicants on Friday, March 12, 2027 at 4p.m. Admissions decisions will be sent via e-mail as well as through the mail.

Final registration is due by March 19th, 2027.

All applicants are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT). Mercy will host the HSPT on our campus on December 5, 2026. Applicants should register for this test from their application portal checklist. While applicants are welcome to test at any school that offers the HSPT, applicants are encouraged to test at Mercy High School. Please email admissions@mercyhsb.com if you have any questions.
