Mercy High School recognizes that families have varying financial needs and make financial sacrifices which include adjusting spending priorities and maximizing both parents’ earnings to provide their daughters with a strong academic education. The Financial Assistance Program at Mercy strives to help those families who, even with personal sacrifices, are unable to meet the full tuition obligation. Awards are made for a one-year period; families must re-apply each year to be considered for assistance.
The application process is fair and confidential. Assessments are done by TADS, an outside firm that specializes in school financial assistance programs. Financial aid awards are made based on a family’s demonstrated need and the availability of school funds.
Families that would like to be considered for financial assistance for the 2018-2019 school year must complete a TADS online financial aid application.
Applying 8th grade families must submit their TADS application by December 11, 2017
Returning 10th, 11th and 12th grade families must apply by February 9, 2018.
Families that have both an applying 8th grader and returning student must meet the December 11th deadline. Late applications will be processed and reviewed; however, meeting the appropriate deadline is critical.
Meeting the deadlines is extremely important as failure to complete the financial aid application on time may jeopardize your chances of receiving aid. Again, please note that late applications will be processed and reviewed, but funds may not be available.

To apply for financial aid for the 2018-2019 academic year, complete a TADS Financial Aid Application. Click on the appropriate link below.
Supporting documentation must be submitted to TADS via mail or fax prior to the appropriate application due date.
All students applying for financial aid and living within the San Francisco Archdiocese can also apply for the Archdiocesan Catholic High School Scholarship. The San Francisco Archdiocesan Office of Catholic Schools administers this program and awards assistance to qualified applicants. To qualify for this Scholarship, the student must be in high school (9-12), the family must demonstrate financial need and live within the territorial boundaries of the Archdiocese of San Francisco (which includes San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties).
If you are applying for the Archdiocese High School Scholarship check the box at the bottom of #25 on the TADS application and then download the recommendation form at the end of the application process. Bring the form to your Pastor or Minister to complete, and ask them to send it directly to the High School of your choice or directly to TADS prior to February 8th. You must submit a clergy recommendation form from the pastor of your parish or religious affiliation.
Incoming Freshmen please note: If you have already submitted a Clergy Recommendation form as part of your admissions application, you do not need to have your pastor/clergy complete this form. You do need to check the box at the bottom of #25 of the TADS application.

You will need to provide specific documentation showing the changes in financial status. No financial aid will be considered without submission of the TADs application and required documentation.
