iPad Program

The iPad is a standard requirement for all students for the 2020-2021 school year and the Mercy High School summer programs. It is the only computer or tablet option for Mercy High School.

iPad Specifications: Mercy requires an iPad with at least 128GB of memory. iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Pro are all acceptable - do not purchase an iPad Mini.

Please check your local retailers for pricing. Many students purchase a portable charger for their ipad to use during the school day.

Apps: Schoology, PowerSchool, and Notability are Mercy’s required apps. Teachers may require additional apps specific to a course.

Contact and Support: If you have any questions regarding the iPad program or technology support, please contact us at technology@mercyhsb.com.

Book List

The Book List for 2020-2021 can be found HERE. Books must be purchased by the first day of school.

Apps

All students will use their Mercy Gmail accounts to establish a school-based Apple ID for the purchase of all apps and books. Only the Mercy Gmail Apple ID will be used for school purposes. Do not purchase apps or books with your personal Apple ID.

*Students who wish to use their personal Apple ID for games and home use may do so. Please be aware that students will need to switch back to the school Apple ID when they come to school.

Athletics Information

All athletes are required to have a physical between June 1 and July 13, 2020 to be approved to participate in athletics and spirit squads at Mercy. Schedule your appointment with your physician as soon as possible as this is a busy time. Physicals are good for one year, so we recommend having it after June 1 so she will be approved for the entire next school year.*

Mercy has a robust Summer Athletics program! Due to social distancing guidances as a result of COVID19, we will be hosting our Summer Strength & Conditioning over Zoom.  If you are planning to play a sport at Mercy, we encourage you to attend Strength & Conditioning training, as well as your sport-specific skills development workshops. Summer training will give you a solid foundation for fall sports, and you will get to know your classmates before school starts! CLICK HERE for the schedule and what to expect from the summer program.

Fall Sports Update: On July 21, the Central Coast Section announced the new start dates for the 2020/21 school year. Fall sports have been postponed: Cross Country, Gymnastics, Volleyball, and Water Polo will now have a Dec 14 start date. However, as that is Finals Week, we will not have sports convene until Dec 18. Tryout dates will be determined and posted in the coming weeks. Please click HERE for the approved CCS Calendar.
**Please note that all of these Season 1 sports will have some sort of practice scheduled during the Christmas break. If you plan to participate, you must commit to being at practices and games when scheduled during that time period. It should be noted in advance, Volleyball will most likely practice and/or play games for the greater part of the break.

  • We will be holding Athletics interest meetings once school starts, and we will share more details regarding practice and game schedules as they are finalized.

  • Soccer, Tennis, and Cheer will have a start date of Feb 22. It should be noted that Cheer will be competing at CCS events for the first time.

  • Basketball, Golf, Lacrosse, Softball, Swimming/Diving and Track and Field will have a start date of March 15.

*Optional free resources for pre-participation physical: here for San Francisco and here for Peninsula.
