The Academic Support Center (ASC) combines the services of the following centers and provides tutoring in one convenient location.
- Math/Science provides an enriched learning environment for all students in math and science classes in which students can work together on complex problems, receive assistance and tutoring from faculty as well as participate in the Peer Tutoring Program.
- Reading and Writing Center started in the Fall of 2006 and is modeled after the writing centers found at most universities. At Mercy's RWC students can work with a professional tutor on writing assignments from classes in all subject areas as well as college application essays. In addition, the Center also provides support for the students' reading. The Reading and Writing Center is the place where students can learn different strategies for getting the most out of their reading assignments. Writing workshops are also offered throughout the year. For more information contact Jenn Wells, Reading & Writing Specialist.
- Foreign Language offers support to students in American Sign Language (ASL), French and Spanish. This includes one-on-one support from teachers and peer tutors.
