The CAtherine project
"Let charity be our badge of honor…so that it may truly be said,
there is in us but one heart and one soul in God."
- Catherine McAuley
Catherine McAuley lived her life centered on God as she founded the Sisters of Mercy. Her mission was to serve the poor, sick, and uneducated with a specific interest in women. Her mission spread throughout Ireland and beyond in her lifetime and the Mercy charism has spread throughout the world. The Catherine Project focuses on providing students some of the experience in the world of Catherine and for each student to take the spirit of Catherine with them into our world upon their graduation.
The Catherine Project integrates the work of Campus Ministry, counseling, student life, and religious studies with the goal of inspiring each student in fostering her relationship with God, self, and community. This partnership will ensure that Catherine’s vision will be shared with each Mercy student.
