Technology

Students have access to a variety of computer technologies on campus. The Multi-Media Lab is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Instructional Lab in Russell Hall is open from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily. Computers are available for student use in the Library (open 8:00 - 4:30 p.m.) and Study Centers. Students are expected to treat the equipment with respect and cared, using the workstations for schoolwork only.

Students also have access to a variety of educational resources on the Internet. Some information available on the Internet may be inappropriate. Therefore, Mercy High School reserves the right to pre-select appropriate materials and programs.

A contract, the Internet Acceptable User Policy (AUP), signed by the student and parent/guardian, must be on file with the Assistant Principal before any student is allowed access to the school network and Internet. This contract, designed for students at Mercy High School, has the rules and violations clearly defined. Students found using technology disrespectfully or inappropriately will lose access privileges.

We request that all students and parents register with School Loop. School Loop is our primary method of communicating with parents, teachers and students through email. School Loop keeps students and parents informed through daily postings of homework and announcements.

We also request that students and parents register with Naviance/Family Connections which is a on-line program to assist you in your college search.
