Assistant Director of Admissions
Mercy High School in Burlingame, California, is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Assistant Director of Admissions beginning July 1, 2015. This person will work with the Admissions Director in developing and executing programs for the recruitment and admission of new students at Mercy High School.
The Assistant Director of Admissions will coordinate the student shadow program, serve as a first point of contact for prospective students and their families, coordinate prospective student events (Open House, information nights, Welcome Night, etc.), addend education fairs and other off campus events that promote Mercy High School. The Assistant Director will be responsible for database management, tracking inquiries and data analysis.
A Bachelor Degree is required. Experience in a Catholic or private high school is a plus. The position requires strong organizational skills, data base management and data analysis experience, and the ability to work cooperatively with many constituencies including middle school students and parents, principals and teachers at elementary/middle schools, faculty and staff at Mercy, high school student and parent volunteers. SPANISH TEACHER – 4/5 POSITION
Mercy High School, an all-girls college preparatory secondary school has an opening for a 4/5 Spanish teacher for the 2015-2016 academic year. Position will teach a varied Spanish curriculum including grammar, vocabulary, writing, speaking, listening, culture, etc. Reporting to the Spanish Department Chairperson, the teacher is responsible for the overall coordination of teaching in his/her subjects including executing well-developed lesson plans, accurate assessment of student’s progress, participation in department meetings and team planning sessions, supervision of students, willingness to learn new methodology, ability to undertake co-curricular responsibilities. Ideal candidate has knowledge of attending and/or teaching in Catholic schools and a strong desire to serve in the vocation of Catholic education.
- B.A in Spanish minimum
- CA Secondary Teaching Credential
Additional preferred qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Spanish or related topic
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience, preferably in a Catholic secondary school environment
Position requires candidate to be on campus beginning mid-August 2015 through mid-June 2016.
