Summer Programs
For Girls Entering 6th, 7th & 8th Grade Fall of 2010
Mercy High School offers a wonderful program for girls entering the 6th through 8th grades in the fall of 2010. The program runs from June 14 - July 9, 2010 (July 5th will be a school holiday.) Choose from:
- Tools for School for girls in 6th, 7th and 8th grade as of Fall 2010 for a month of learning, exploring and fun. All classes will enjoy a Friday Field Trip.
- Pre-High School Enrichment Courses - Pre-Algebra and TechnoKIDS for girls in 6th, 7th and 8th grade incoming as of Fall 2010. All classes will enjoy a Friday Field trip.
- Summer Sports Camp for girls in 6th, 7th and 8th grade as of Fall 2010 with four 1 week sessions, full day or half day which include three or four of the following sports: Fitness Training, Tennis, Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Dance, Swimming, Softball and Lacrosse.

To apply: Print out and complete the application form (click on the link below). Return to Mercy High School with the $75 non-refundable registration fee. Confirmation of classes and sports sessions will be mailed by June 1st. Tuition balance is due by June 8th.

For Girls Entering Grades 9-12
in Fall of 2010
The Mercy Summer Program, grounded in the Mission of the Sisters of Mercy, aims to educate the whole student. Offering academics, leadership, technology, fitness and arts courses, Mercy gives young women a place to expand their intellectual, social and athletic abilities in an atmosphere of camaraderie and encouragement. Mercy High School College Preparatory offers a comprehensive program of high school courses this summer. Choose from:
- High School Prep for Students Entering Grade 9 - The following courses run from June 14th to July 9th: Reading-Writing Seminar, Study Skills, Basic Arithmetic, Algebra Redadiness 1 and Algebra 1 Bridge.
- High School Classes for Students Entering Grades 9-12 - The following courses run from June 14th - July 16th.
- 10 Credit Courses - full year: Pre-Calculus Honors (for students entering grades 10-12 only), Geometry (for students entering grades 10-12 only), Non-Darkroom Photography 1 (fulfills the Visual and Performing Arts requirement) and Art 1 (fulfills the Visual and Performing Arts Requirement).
- 5 Credit Courses - semester: Digital Storytelling (Mercy elective credit), SAT Prep (Mercy Elective credit), Physical Fitness (fulfills the Mercy PE requirement), Women in Leadership (Mercy elective credit), Mercy Action Summer (Mercy elective credit and service hours - minimum 40 hours), Creative Writing (Mercy elective credit), Algebra Readiness 2 (for students entering grades 10-12 only), Algebra 1 (for students entering grades 10-12 only), Geometry (for students entering grades 10-12 only), Algebra 2/Trigonometry (for students entering grades 10-12 only)
- Proctored Online Courses (BYU) cost of class + proctoring fee: English 9, 10, 11; World History; United States History; Spanish 1, 2, 3; French 1, 2, 3; and Second Math class as necessary.
