Each year, Mercy welcomes transfer students to our school community. Mercy admits transfer students based on their academic record and recommendations as well as their motivation to be challenged by a rigorous academic program. We are also looking for students who will engage in the Mercy community through participation in school activities, liturgies, retreats and service. Transfer applications to all grades are considered on a case by case basis as space allows. Transfer students usually start in the fall semester, though mid-year transfers in January for the second semester may be considered.
We recommend that you begin by contacting the Admission Office to discuss your interest in transferring to Mercy.
The application process includes:
● Shadow Day on Mercy’s campus to see classes
● An official copy of the student’s current high school transcript mailed to the Admission Office. Note: If student is transferring in the 9th grade year, please provide a copy of the 7th and 8th grade transcripts.
● Standardized Test Scores (HSPT, PSAT etc)
Note: If the student has taken the HSPT or SSAT, please notify the Admission office and supply those scores. If you do not have copies of your HSPT scores, please let Mercy know where you have taken the test and we will get the scores for you.
● Family Interview with Head of School and a member of the Admission Team
